The High Net Worth group is a team within Ballentine Partners focused specifically on clients with investment assets between $3 and $20 million with moderate financial planning needs.
Responsibilities include supporting advisers and their clients on a range of topics related to financial planning including:
Preparing net worth statements;
Collecting, validating and analyzing information from a variety of sources, including investment reports, tax returns, estate planning and trust documents, life insurance contracts, and executive benefit plans;
Inputting data into spreadsheets, client presentations, financial planning software and CRM system;
Running financial planning models;
Assisting in the preparation of client proposals, analyses and presentation materials;
Preparing and updating Investment Policy Statements using pre-existing templates;
Proficiently using the CRM database program to retrieve key information, facilitate client mailings, and manage various prospective client lists to track referral sources and new revenue;
Assisting with client events and new marketing initiatives as needed;
Identifying and researching client issues;
Handling special projects;
Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person;
Keeping up-to-date technically, applying new knowledge to your job, and;
Other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have:
A demonstrated interest in financial planning, through their studies or intern experiences
CFP or progress towards it is a plus
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, mathematics or related field
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment with multiple advisors
Ability to be exact and accurate with a very high attention to detail
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage multiple projects at once
Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with employees, vendors and company contacts
Proficient in MS Office suite and capability to learn new software programs quickly
