This Impact Report, commissioned by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. and produced by Aite Group, identifies and quantifies differences between registered representatives and investment advisor representatives (collectively referred to as “financial advisors”) who hold the CFP® certification and financial advisors who are not CFP® professionals.
The study compares CFP® professionals with non-CFP® professionals across multiple metrics, including practice positioning, the importance of planning, services offered, means of compensation and revenue across a financial advisor practice, and levels of client affluence.
