The Wealth Management Advisor provides comprehensive wealth management and financial planning solutions for clients using a consultative approach. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of business development and strong client relationships. Due to the C-Suite clientele, this candidate must possess “Executive Presence” and be comfortable working at this level. The person filling this position will serve our higher net worth clients with complex tax, estate, and investment topics. The Wealth Advisor must be able to interview clients to understand current finances and lead the client(s) through the goal setting and decision-making process as it pertains to their planning. This includes creating and discussing the comprehensive financial plan, investment management proposals, and insurance solutions, and conducting annual and quarterly reviews. Consistently delivers high-quality customer service and advice-based solutions that simplify financial complexity and achieve the client's goals. Ensures service standards including execution and delivery are achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business Development (New Clients and Centers of Influence)
- Play a key role in firm growth by sourcing and executing on new client opportunities by actively pursuing and closing new business including financial plans, investment portfolios, and insurance
- Lead client meetings on topics including portfolio reviews and all aspects of financial planning
- Proactively and frequently connect with clients to build trust and advance relationships
- Contribute to the firm’s investment excellence as an active, participating member of the Investment Committee
- Seek opportunities to promote the visibility of the firm through events, speaking engagements, and community involvement
- Actively seek referrals from current clients and COIs
- Develop and maintain a professional network in areas such as estate and tax planning
- Research and create articles, blog posts, and videos on financial planning topics
The Wealth Management Advisor will assume primary relationship management (over time) for existing client relationships and will:
- Prepare, review, and present financial plans to clients using eMoney to address retirement planning, disability, investment management, education planning, estate planning and risk management
- Understand and present:
- importance of asset allocation strategies
- taxation consequences
- alternate investment solutions considering risk orientation
- proposal for deferred compensation programs
- stock option taxation and incorporate into eMoney
- current trends
- market dynamics
- Prepare and deliver presentations/seminars to clients and prospects
- Create, refine and follow processes for financial planning and wealth management group and mentor client service manager. Serve as backup for Client Service Manager and understand processes
- Develops and maintains relationships with key wholesalers, broker dealer, outsourced investment managers, prospects, and attorneys, accountants, etc.
Required Skills
First and foremost, we are seeking a candidate who loves working with people, is analytical and detail oriented, is a great team player and collaborator. The candidate must have previous experience providing financial advice in the financial services industry and a Certified Financial Planner CFP® designation
What you must offer us:
- 5-10+ years of experience in direct client wealth management
- Four-year undergraduate degree in business management, accounting, finance or engineering; MBA preferred
- CFP® certification

Minimum Experience
- Must be able to understand complicated financial and legal documents
- Proficient working with numbers, budgets and financial planning software as well as Word, Excel, Morningstar and Outlook
- Familiarity with legal restrictions and laws concerning retirement plans, tax shelters, insurance, and trusts
- Knowledge of investments, tax laws, and insurance to recommend appropriate solutions and command a thorough knowledge of investment products
You must currently hold active federal and state licenses and registrations for: Series 7, Series 63 and 65 or 66.
