Financial Planning Associate Advisors and Paraplanners

OakCrest Capital is a financial services firm in Chicago, IL, and we are seeking Financial Planning Advisors, Paraplanners, and associate advisors to join our team. We are seeking new planners to support our continued growth and to help manage existing client relationships for our subscription financial planning model. Each will be a part of a team to assist in developing and retaining long term relationships with a specific group of clients.

Key Areas of Responsibility:


  • Collaborate to create a team environment and to meet client needs via Virtual meetings
  • Provide financial planning advice for select group of clients using Emoney Financial Planning
  • Analyze clients information obtained to determine strategies, financial products and services to help clients meet their financial objectives
  • Maintain and grow current client base
  • Build long term relationship based on shared values and goals
  • Provide knowledgeable, objective financial guidance and customized to clients


  • Input data into financial planning software and assist financial advisor with developing initially planning recommendations, onboarding and ongoing maintenance of client relationships
  • Support advisor with pre client meeting activities such as preparing meeting agendas and client portfolio presentations as well as post client meeting tasks (such as processing client meeting notes, entering data into the database and setting tasks for client requests
  • Provide dedicated support to Financial Advisors through collaboration and organization
  • Communicate with clients regarding items needed for meetings
  • Manage setup and maintenance of client portals, including account aggregation

Qualification Requirements:


  • Passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of financial planning/para planning experience
  • Series 7 & 66 (or 63/65) licensed
  • Highly proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational, computer and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on projects
  • Team player and able to work in fast paced environment
  • Good command of financial planning, investment planning, estate planning, and insurance planning
  • Ability to manage and process multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Warm, friendly personability with the ability to connect with people and develop long term relationships
  • Familiarity with our current systems is a plus, but not required: Redtail, Emoney, Riskalyze
