A top local wealth management firm is seeking a Financial Associate / Portfolio Administrator  with at least 2-5 years industry experience to assist in our  investment management and new business areas. To be considered, the candidate must have at least an undergraduate degree in Finance and preferably Personal Financial Planning. Candidates with prior related work experience and licensing in investments, financial management and/or internships will be given higher consideration. This is an excellent long-term career opportunity with advancement to higher level positions within our firm. Competitive salary compensation with incentive bonuses will be based on job and overall firm performance.

Primary duties and areas of responsibility include:

1.  PORTFOLIO ADMINISTRATION: Implementation of client investment strategies, handling of account allocations and money movement functions will be the majority of this position. This will also include RMD's and stock monitoring.   Attention to detail and timely completion of proposed portfolio changes are of the utmost importance in this job. 

2.  DOCUMENT PREPARATON /PROCESSING:  Preparation/population, submission, tracking and recording of new business applications either via hard copy/electronic process. Follow-up with clients & vendors to ensure fund transfers, account transfers and timely issue of policies. 

3. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Interaction with clients regarding client requests (including but not limited to withdrawal requests and other money movement tasks) requires the candidate to have strong inter personal skills.
