We have an immediate opportunity for a Paraplanner in our Financial Planning Department. The position is based in Virginia Beach, VA .

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Playing a key role on a client-facing team providing support to the Senior Advisory Team and their clients with sophisticated financial planning, sales and white-glove client service, and acting as the point person to on-board new clients. This may include engaging with clients to perform a fact find, gathering of documents, preparing financial plan, and following up to ensure execution of the financial planning recommendations.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of financial planning action items that includes all current outstanding planning items for the client.
  • Consistently and proactively follow up with clients to insure timely execution of all planning strategies.
  • Maintain and follow up on client Action Items after client review meetings.
  • Meet with internal clients (Research and Investment Operations, Risk Management team, etc.) to review client agenda and action item.
  • Involvement with Financial Plan design.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of prior experience in financial services industry to include data entry, analyzing financial statements and providing a high level of client service. Previous experience working directly with high net wealth clients on financial matters is a plus. The ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office and will have basic familiarity with financial planning topics and strategies. Good interpersonal skills and analytical skills are crucial to success. You must be good at communicating clearly with clients both verbally and in writing. You will be a proactive self-starter with a personal interest in financial planning.
