You will be responsible for cultivating sources of qualified high net worth prospective clients, as well as developing and managing high net worth client relationships and portfolios. You will work closely with a team of wealth management professionals and other Wetherby team members to provide excellent service to Wetherby clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Managing individual relationships with high net worth clients, which includes:
    • Establishing client relationships
    • Gathering client data, both quantitative and qualitative, and working with clients in understanding and defining their financial planning and investment needs and objectives
    • Reviewing and analyzing a client’s current financial situation and being able to advise on investment strategy, income tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, stock options, charitable giving strategies, insurance and risk management and education funding
    • Identifying potential issues the client may have, explaining financial planning concepts, clarifying client goals and preparing financial plans
    • Designing long-term investment strategy and appropriate asset allocation with clients, as well as implementing and monitoring investment portfolios and asset allocations
  • Supporting business development efforts by cultivating new prospective clients and representing our firm in introductory meetings
    • Building awareness and reputation of our firm among complementary professionals, companies, networks or industries to foster introductions to high net worth individuals and families
    • Proactively engaging a strong referral network and sourcing qualified referrals from your network
    • Effectively representing our firm and offering to prospective clients / supporting the prospecting process to close new business and welcome new clients to our firm.

More About You:

  • 10+ years of investment advisory experience
  • Have experience working with clients whose assets are in excess of $5 million
  • Have depth of knowledge in at least one key area of financial planning
  • Display excellent organizational, analytical, critical thinking, communication and social skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, and take immediate ownership of your work
