Financial Advisor

Potomac Financial Consultants, LLC based in Germantown, MD is looking to add an experienced financial advisor to our team.  We are an independent, relationship-focused financial planning firm providing comprehensive wealth management and retirement income planning for a diverse client base.  This position is perfect for a financial advisor who is eager to succeed in the independent market while learning from a high-quality advisor with over 25 years of experience in the industry.  This position is looking for an individual who has developed a well-rounded understanding and implementation of advising and financial planning with over three years of experience as a financial advisor.

The candidate for this position will need to possess the following knowledge, skills and education:

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

• Possess a genuine interest in serving and caring for clients while being able to start up and hold conversations with a diverse demographic of individuals independently
• Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, ethical behavior and high-quality work ethic
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of financial markets and can effectively simplify complex financial concepts while building relationships with clients
• Strong time management and organizational skills is a must; able to work independently and effectively managing multiple tasks at one time while meeting deadlines
• Experience with e-Money and Envestnet a plus
• Be willing to support Lead Financial Advisor with various client matters

Education and/or Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services industry
• FINRA Series 7 and 66 required
• Experience in the independent financial services cultured preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
• Clean SEC and FINRA record
• CFP certificate, or willing to obtain
