Private Client Advisors work for Schwab Private Client Investment Advisory, Inc. ("SPCIA"), a registered investment advisor and an affiliate of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.
What you are good at
The Sr. Team Manager, will coach and counsel a team of 10 +/- Private Client Advisors and Associate Private Client Advisors in a collaborative environment designed to both grow and support the client base they support. Each Private Client Advisor builds and serves a practice of High Net Worth clients, constructing customized portfolios and providing advice specific to the needs of each client. In this role, you will partner with a team of financial planners, attorneys and CPA’s to offer comprehensive solutions.The Sr. Team Manager will establish strategies and plans designed to ensure that asset, and service targets are met. Your team building, general management and leadership skills will be vital in providing direction and delivering results. Ideally, we are seeking an individual with extensive financial services experience, current or previous management experience, the CFP® or CFA designation, and a passion lead and guide investment professionals.
Typical daily activities include, but are not limited to: Designing strategies and annual business plans appropriate to achieve team goals, staying abreast of current industry news, events and market research; Connecting with clients and internal partners including Branch Managers and Regional Branch Executives; Monitoring of client interactions and coaching to improve service and advice quality; Daily planning and execution on providing superior client service and advice to clients; and performing the compliance and administrative tasks inherent in our industry.

What you have
We place a premium on high performance, quality service and the ability to execute the Schwab strategy. Essential skills include:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Series 7, 66, and 9/10 required (may consider Condition of Employment for Series 66 and 9/10)
- CFP or CFA required (may be obtained within 18 months condition of employment)
- Five plus years’ experience in the financial services industry, including a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Desire to lead and coach investment professionals; while possessing strong mentoring and employee development skills
- Strong leadership, partnership and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication skills
