Associate Wealth Planner

About Us

  • Solitude Financial Services, Inc. is a 6-member team (seeking a 7th), fee-only, rapidly growing, niche financial planning and wealth management firm.
  • We provide comprehensive advice on anything that impacts our high net worth, airline pilot families’ balance sheet and cash flows.

Opportunity

  • The candidate will pair with a Wealth Advisor.  Each of our Wealth Advisor and Associate Wealth Planner pairs serve roughly 50 high net worth client families.
  • To begin, the role includes back-office support, preparing for financial plan delivery meetings, and assisting the Wealth Advisor on delivery meetings.
  • The candidate will be mentored by our team of professionals including an MBA, CFA®, CFP®, ChFC®, and has the potential for future leadership roles and ownership in our growing firm.
  • Flexibility of 2 - 3 days per week of in office work, with the remainder from a home office is desired.  Candidate is required to be located, or willing to relocate, within a reasonable commute of our home office in Charlottesville, VA. 

Responsibilities

  • Research.
  • Prepare and update financial plans to include evaluating and testing for risks and opportunities (eMoney, Holistiplan).
  • Following up on client next steps, to assist implementation.
  • Note taking in our CRM (Wealthbox) and financial planning software. 
  • Communicating directly with and supporting clients, under guidance of Lead Wealth Planner and your paired Wealth Advisor.
  • Coordinate with a client’s CPA or estate attorney to help implement recommendations.
  • Continuous improvement of systems and processes under your areas of responsibility (Schwab Advisor Services, Orion).

Soft Skills and Qualifications

  • Fanatical attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Interested, curious, and engaging with clients.
  • Collaborative internally.  Solution seeking over problem focused.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • CFP® Professional, Candidate for CFP® Certification, or solidified plans to obtain CFP® or similar professional designation.

Compensation and Hours

  • Full-Time W2 position.
  • Compensation is $65k - $95k depending on qualifications.
  • Retirement Plan with employer match after a 90-day probationary period
  • Fully paid Health Insurance for employee and direct family.
  • Paid vacation and sick time.
  • Relocation reimbursement up to $5,000.
