Investment Professional Job Description

Responsibilities will include driving a world class customer experience with our clients and developing, implementing and monitoring investment strategies aligned with their risk profiles and objectives.

Success in this position will require you to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as a collaborative member of our investment committee. Prior investment service and trust experience is helpful, but not as important as a genuine interest in investing and portfolio management.  Your daily focus will be working with customers and implementing portfolio strategies aligned with the decisions of our investment committee, of which you will be a member.

Responsibilities

Engaging with customers to:

  1. Develop a holistic understanding of their financial objectives.
  2. Understand their risk levels based on time horizons, risk preferences, return expectations, and market conditions.
  3. Proactively communicate market and economic trends and conditions.
  4. Discuss their portfolio performance.

Construct investment portfolios informed by market conditions and economic trends.

Buy and sell securities in customer accounts to maintain a specific investment strategy, or to reach a financial objective.

Evaluate the performance of investment portfolios and ensure compliance with established standards.

Stay current with relevant investment news and economic trends and share with a team.

Support growth for the firm by driving customer referrals.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Interest and willingness to obtain a Chartered Financial Analyst® and/or Certified Financial Planner® Designation.

Willingness to learn and understand capital markets and the relationships between asset classes and sub-asset classes (i.e., alternative investments, equity and fixed income sectors).

Proficiency with customer relationship and financial management software.

Three or more years of financial services, including relationship management, experience.

Exceptional analytical and communication skills.

Highly organized and detail-oriented.
