Bay Point Wealth is a well-established, rapidly growing fee-only advisory firm with offices in Maryland, North Carolina, and Florida. Our primary purpose is to help people live well through expert, unbiased financial guidance through all stages of their financial journey.

We are seeking a compassionate, team-oriented Financial Advisor in Maryland to manage client relationships and coordinate activities with the Associate Advisor and other team members to ensure client needs are met. The advisor will provide all key technical analysis and advice in the areas of financial planning, tax, and investments. The Advisor will also participate in business development activities such as qualifying prospects and conducting initial consultation meetings.

Job Description

The Lead Advisor will have responsibilities in the following areas:

Portfolio Management

  • Meet monthly with Investment Management Team to review portfolio related matters, to consider any allocation changes and to keep apprised as to current investment thoughts/ideas
  • Review clients’ current investments and objectives to create investment proposals, including current portfolio analysis, recommended model allocation, and tax planning strategies
  • Coordinate with Associate Advisors and Investment Team specific cash, trading, or other investment needs of all clients. This could include required minimum distributions, annual tax withholdings, Roth conversions, charitable contributions, and other tasks.

Financial Planning

  • Participate as a member of the Financial Planning team to continuously improve our client services, identify and develop solutions for any impediments, and help to create more efficient work processes
  • Coordinate and manage new client on-boarding process with Associate Advisor
  • Review and analyze data for new clients and make the appropriate recommendations
  • Coordinate with the Associate Advisor the required analysis, agendas, and meeting presentations
  • Lead all client meetings
  • Determine any follow up tasks
  • Review clients annually or as needed and make corresponding recommendations

Client Relationship Management

  • Ensure that key client information is documented and communicated to other team members
  • Ensure that client recommendations are implemented
  • Respond to client questions and requests in a timely manner
  • Proactively communicate with clients to keep them informed and engaged

Business Development and Marketing

  • Conduct initial consultation meetings with prospective clients
  • Assist as needed with various business development and marketing initiatives

  • A 4-year college degree, preferably in business or finance
  • 5 - 7 years personal financial planning work experience
  • A CFP® designation or working towards the CFP® designation
