Gulf South Wealth Advisors is looking for an experienced Financial Advisor to join our fast paced, friendly, and growing practice to build meaningful relationships with existing top tier clients. New client acquisition will be a primary focus. This role will be supported by a team of experienced client service professionals.

The financial advisor is responsible for working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Provide superior client experience by following firm service model based upon several criteria.  Develop meaningful relationships through regular and consistent client contact.  Provide thoughtful financial planning advice through the practice financial planning process. This position will follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.

Engage clients with professional presentations on solutions that meet the needs of the client through financial planning advisory platform.  Needs familiarity and competency in financial planning tools, software, and technology.  Ability to manage multiple relationships simultaneously while implementing product solutions that lead to client advisory needs being met and driving revenue for the practice.  Provide quality communications both verbally and written in preparation for, during, and after client meetings.  Articulate summary of conversations and document in contact management system and other documents for review by client.

Acquire new clients through referrals, marketing events, and networking.  Develop centers of influence and deep relationships in the community to represent the practice.  Work with lead advisor and other associates to deliver value to clients and prospects.

Position Functions:

Client Service- 50%

  • Build meaningful relationships with clients by knowing their situation and showing empathy
  • Demonstrate competency and build trust with clients
  • Maintain connection on an on-going basis by making quarterly service calls and other campaigns
  • Prepare for client meetings by working with service team
  • Conduct client meetings to present recommendations/deliver advice
  • Acquire new clients through referrals and other marketing activities as supported by the practice
  • Perform case analysis and develop recommendations
  • Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, if requested, as it relates to servicing their accounts

Product Solutions and Financial Planning Implementation- 25%

  • Engage clients in comprehensive fee-based financial planning
  • Analyze and implement financial planning solutions
  • Assess and recommend portfolio/robust product solution that will fit the client’s risk tolerance, goals, and time frame
  • Run illustrations and hypotheticals
  • Develop appropriate product deliverables
  • Persuade clients to act upon suitable advice/recommendations
  • Execute appropriate trades to align with proposed portfolio
  • Monitor economy, markets, and world events to determine any required strategic rebalancing
  • Conduct transactions on behalf of clients

Business Management and Client Care- 25%

  • Document client interactions
  • Review work methods and procedures for possible quality improvements and efficiencies and implement them when appropriate
  • Collaborate with practice support professionals on meeting preparation and client service
  • Participate in weekly and quarterly team meetings
  • Act as a technical resource and provide training and support to other practice members
  • Complete other tasks/assignments as required

Education and Other Designations:

  • College degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience as a financial advisor
  • Valid and active Series 66 license required
  • Valid and active Series 7 required
  • Valid and active Life, Health, and Long-Term Care Insurance license required
  • Knowledge of financial planning and investment management concepts required
  • Financial Advisor credentials a plus but not required

Requirements:

  • Occasional travel is required
