JOB DESCRIPTION
Associate Financial Advisor for a small boutique wealth management and financial services firm in the North Bay area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in sales and client acquisition as well as be an outgoing, highly technical, and analytical individual who has the desire to achieve goals by working as a collective team. The opportunity exists to purchase the firm as an owner, so entrepreneurial skills are a plus.

JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of this Assistant Financial Advisor is to prospect and grow the firm along with developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Help clients define and achieve their financial goals. This is achieved by providing the highest quality investment and financial consulting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Develop new client relationships for the firm.

Provide best-in-class financial advisory and wealth management services to clients by evaluating their current financial position, goals, and risk tolerance and provide customized investment consulting on their portfolio design.
• Buy, sell and analyze investment options that match client goals and recommend appropriate investment strategies.
• Participate and provide input in investment committee meetings.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively and maintain regular contact with all clients.
• Present appropriate fee-based investment products, financial and wealth management services to clients.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Sales skills and entrepreneurial acumen

• Must be a team player and enjoy achieving goals collectively.
• Extroverted, yet low-key.
• Highly intelligent, intuitive, and analytical.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good writing skills to curate and organize blog posts on our company blog.
• Strong technical skills.
• A track record of previous work stability for a period of three to five years.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• MBA is a plus.
• 4-10 years of relevant experience in financial consulting and advising, wealth management, or a similar role.
• A book of fee-based clients is a plus, but not required.
• Series 65 registration and additional licensing needed to assist in building a career as a Financial Advisor.
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation is a plus.'
