Position Overview/Summary

Excellent opportunity for a new advisor to grow your own business while receiving mentorship and base compensation. This is a unique opportunity to act as secondary advisor to an existing practice while simultaneously allowing you the opportunity to grow your own client base. Your time will be split between helping with existing clients and prospecting for your own. Base compensation will be based on the existing advisor’s production. The more we grow, the more you earn. This is an independent contractor/1099 position with potential to eventually become a partner/successor. We are looking for a career-minded individual who wants to grow with us long term. We are seeking an energetic, organized person with a high level of professionalism to become part of our team. The right candidate needs to be self-motivated, detail oriented, technologically savvy and able to work independently. Even more importantly, you must be similarly driven by the desire to help people above all else. The position is fully remote and requires someone who is a fast learner. Ideally the candidate would be located in the eastern time zone, but this is not required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in virtual meetings with clients and prospects
  • Prepare analysis of existing investment portfolios and financial plans, including ESG research
  • Work independently to manage, research and resolve client service requests, including maintenance and support on client portals
  • Take responsibility for client conversion project, including new account set up and account transfer follow up
  • Develop a monthly subscription service Financial Coaching program
  • Meet all regulatory obligations, including, but not limited to, maintenance of logs & blotters, record keeping, client communication and client suitability reviews and updates
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion

Requirements include:

  • College degree
  • 3+ years’ experience in related field
  • Currently holds Series 7 and 66 (or equivalent)
  • CFP or ChFC or willing to acquire
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Significant attention to detail
  • Strong technology skills including knowledge of electronic file storage and CRM software
  • Knowledge of Right Capital or similar financial planning software

Compensation

  • Approximate compensation for part-time hours supporting existing clients: $45,000 - $50,000
  • Remainder of hours, as appropriate, are dedicated to growing your own business at a high revenue share
