The Wealth Advisor is a unique opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with advisors and associates at Briggs Advisory Group using professional expertise to help accomplish client goals. This individual will lead a team of wealth management professionals for their designated client relationships. These duties include responsibility for research, plan design, recommendations, implementation and monitoring of financial plans. Such plans will address investment, retirement, risk management, estate, and tax considerations. This individual must demonstrate leadership and initiative in proactively servicing client relationships with the highest level of honesty and integrity.  In addition, this individual will be an active team member with the development of new business (from existing and/or prospective clients) to expand our firm’s reputation and meet/exceed business goals.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop a mastery of and embrace Briggs’ investment philosophy and evidence-based investing
  • Research, plan, design, recommend, and monitor customized financial plans to clients based on their objectives, resources, time horizons, risk profiles and preferences, to help them achieve their financial goals. The financial plan is supported by the recommendation, implementation and monitoring of an investment portfolio strategy consistent with the firm’s investment philosophy.
  • Serve as lead advisor, manage, and maintain active communication with current clients and prospective clients
  • Proactively address clients’ needs
  • Stay current on the technical aspects of the financial service industry through continuous learning and education
  • Conduct client discovery, implementation and review meetings with skill, professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times
  • Collaborate with clients’ other professionals
  • Review/prepare meeting agendas and materials to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Review/prepare meeting follow-up notes and action items
  • Diligent recording of client communication
  • Positively represent the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service
  • Make client feel cared for and at ease, ask relevant questions, actively listen, and confidently handle client objections and questions with empathy and not create an adversarial environment

  • Engage in business planning efforts and actively support firm’s strategic priorities

Desired Skills and Experience

Education and/or Work Experience

  • 5+ years of direct client-facing experience
  • BA/BS in economics, accounting or finance; or equivalent industry experience
  • Professional Certifications; CFP and/or CPA/PFS required
  • Insurance License required
  • Series 65 or equivalent
