Financial Planner/Senior Financial Planner

Position Summary

Overview

Transform Wealth is an exceptional fee-only comprehensive financial planning and wealth management firm seeking an experienced, highly motivated Financial Planner/Senior Financial Planner to join our team. The Financial Planner/Senior Financial Planner will support and collaborate with our Director of Financial Planning and our planning team to provide best-in-class service to our clients, and will be responsible for maintaining their own client relationships.

Responsibilities

The primary focus of this position is working with our planning team and clients to gather, organize, and enter planning data into multiple software programs and prepare and deliver financial assessments, comprehensive financial plans, and annual progress reports for our clients with a high degree of accuracy. In addition, the Financial Planner/Senior financial planner will be responsible for responding to regular client service requests, as well as assisting clients in the implementation of their financial plans on an ongoing basis. The Financial Planner/Senior Financial Planner will also be responsible for creating Investment Policy Statements for clients, working with our wealth management team to implement client portfolios, and meeting with clients regularly to discuss those portfolios.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in financial planning, including client-facing financial planning experience. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships. Technical competence in all areas of financial planning.
  • Passion for financial planning and client service; dedicated to growth and open to change. Able to build rapport with clients, show empathy, and be able to deliver professional recommendations, even if they may be difficult for the client to hear.
  • Extremely meticulous and detail-oriented, committed to excellence, personally accountable for work produced, takes initiative, flexible.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly proficient with NaviPlan or another cash flow-based planning software; significant experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook strongly desired. Experience with Practifi CRM (Salesforce platform), Maximize My Social Security, and Tamarac Advisor View a plus. Prefer ability to learn new software easily.
  • Collaborative, team player, able to work well with employees at all levels of the firm, as well as different types of clients.
  • Strives to develop expertise in firm’s internal processes; seeks and proposes opportunities to improve and systematize our financial planning offerings
  • Bachelor’s degree; completion of CFP® coursework and passage of CFP® examination required; current ability to use CFP® designation strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
