Hi. We’re Vital Financial - a first of its kind Financial Technology company looking to reinvent financial advisory from the ground up for the modern consumer. Vital will define a new Fintech category: 360 Wealth Acceleration - becoming the first advisory purpose built to meet all the wealth needs of the most attractive professions, one career-type at a time. The concept for Vital is being led by Venture Design firm Juxtapose, a unique VC model that has helped successfully launch more than 20 businesses across healthcare and technology over the last 25 years, most recently including Tend, Orchard and Care/of. 2 years of their research into the Financial Services space has proven that financial planning and wealth management are stuck in the 20th century. Vital is here to fix that.

Project Vital’s mission is to deliver comprehensive financial products and services customized specifically for individual professions. The job of the Client Services and Advice, Planning and Investing groups is to provide our Customers with groundbreaking customized Advisory that is tailored to our customers’ specific needs, all while ensuring a seamless and best in class experience in working with us. In an industry that lacks both individual guidance and support, our teams are here to provide a personalized approach to Wealth Management and Financial Advisory.

The Client Development Officer will be responsible for ensuring the close of leads generated by marketing across the full spectrum of the client target market, from junior profiles all the way to profiles closer to retirement. This person will own the sales funnel from start to finish taking leads from discovery all the way through to close, utilizing technology to move as fast as possible and orchestrating involvement from our CFPs when necessary. As a New Business professional, you will be an expert on pitching our value proposition, what it’s like to work with us, and which advisor is the best fit, always staging out the best outcome for the customer. This person will be responsible for achieving target closed leads through a combination of sending customers to our CFPs and self closing customers depending on the life cycle of the customer. This person will be the first contact that our customers will have at Vital so it is important to be a strong relationship builder as well as an ambassador for the company.

Key Responsibilities

    • Use domain knowledge and experience to drive revenue goals by closing customers, achieving a sales target consistently
    • Ownership and accountability of the sales funnel from start to finish, using motivations to be successful as a key driver to success as opposed to being told what to do all the time
    • Has knowledge of and experience with building best practices around lead flow, getting our clients from the top of our marketing funnel all the way to paying customers as efficiently as possible
    • Build scalable best practices for the New Business development team, using your own playbook to build a best in class function for lead flow from the top of the marketing funnel all the way to close as efficiently as possible

Key Requirements

    • 5-8 years of experience in new business at a Fintech company or RIA
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Series 7 and 66 Certified
    • Must be credible and trustworthy in the space. Is an industry expert who stays up on current trends and is relationship-oriented.
    • Has Sales Integrity as a guiding professional value, never selling products because they yield the highest commission but because they are the best fit for the customer.
    • Has a Quantitative sales mind, using a data driven approach to pull key learnings and drive strategy.
    • Highly collaborative and Agile. Can work well within a group and is comfortable with change.
    • Driven by a growth mindset but with a laser focus on how to best serve our customers, not what yields the highest advisory fee.
    • Must thrive in a collaborative 0-1 environment, utilizing expert knowledge in the space to elevate every function and colleague.
    • The hunger, drive, and resiliency to join an early stage company in an ultra competitive space. Should be able to recognize, pursue and seize opportunities without being told to do so, while also diagnosing current issues with the same mentality.
    • Knows how to fix things with urgency and ownership.
    • Eager to work with a passionate, motivated and driven team with different perspectives and backgrounds. We ride peaks and valleys as a team, always pulling each other up when needed but also celebrating big when we win.
