As a Financial Planning Consultant, within our Registered Investment Advisor, Eagle Strategies you will be responsible for creating customized financial plans for Advisors while also offering support and guidance on a wide variety of financial planning issues including how to position and price fee- based planning with clients.  The Case Consultant will work proactively with Advisors, their staff and home office associates to drive planning results and plan implementation while providing a client ­focused experience.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provides financial planning advice and expertise while supporting individual Advisors and their staff to address a wide range of planning issues including but not limited to: Retirement Planning; Investment Planning; Estate Planning; Protection Planning. Analyzing client’s current situation in relation to their goals, stress testing through various What- ifs and ultimately creating a recommended plan based on customized strategies. Identifies efficiencies and best practices for advisors running a fee-based practice including guidance on pricing, positioning and case design. Initiates and provides leadership in special projects designed to promote advice­  driven services and enhancements. Demonstrates baseline knowledge regarding company products and solutions. Collaborate with other departments within larger New York Life organization to leverage knowledge and expertise in promoting a planning mindset. Participates  in the development and delivery of financial planning training programs for Advisors and other associates Creates marketing content upon request on financial planning topics and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience Bachelor’s degree Series 7 and 66 is required Current Certified Financial Planner (CFP® designation required Experience using financial planning software (i.e.MoneyGuide Pro, Naviplan, eMoney) and ability to learn new software packages Passion for financial planning and working for world class organization. Ability to work in fast paced environment Strong team player Strong customer service skills Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Proficient in using Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
