Tax Manager & Financial Planner 

Benedetti & Associates, Certified Public Accountant, Inc. (BA) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Preparation and Financial Planning team. The tax department’s goal is to provide accurate and timely tax preparation for the clients we serve. You will provide planning and consulting services, lead the tax department team, develop financial plans for clients, respond to government tax inquiries by communicating with the client and the government agency involved, support the investment advisory division while building productive working relationships within the Company.

Responsibilities
 

  • Leads complex tax planning, technical research, preparation of memorandums, and execution of the plan with clients and the tax team. Advises as a technical expert on U.S. federal and state tax matters, including entity planning issues, pension implementation and tax reduction strategies. Keeps up to date with federal legislative and regulatory tax developments that may impact our clients, including continuing education related to our clients and their financial goals. Advises BA’s businesses on how to reduce tax liabilities, sets up compliance procedures, and communicates frequently with BA’s team members. Leads lower-level personnel on priority projects. Responds to notices from various tax authorities and interacts directly with tax authorities on a regular basis. Interacts and deals directly with BA’s clients/potential clients to legally pay the lowest taxes possible and develop specific plans to help our clients develop their wealth strategies.

Education And Experience Required
 

  • Certified Public Accountancy license required along with Bachelor-level university degree. Experience in public accounting environment. Typically, 5+ years of related experience in accounting or tax.

Knowledge And Skills
 

  • Advanced knowledge of corporate income tax laws. Complete systematic understanding and thorough knowledge of professional accounting and financial reporting systems. Superior communication, leadership, consulting, influence, and negotiation skills. Exceptional financial and business acumen. Excellent project management, problem solving, and analytical skills, and the ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies. Demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects and engagement teams.
