TAX MANAGER / FINANCIAL PLANNER

Benedetti & Associates CPA Inc., a tax and financial planning firm located in Santa Maria, CA, provides a broad range of services for a diverse roster of clients including businesses and their owners and executives.  We help our clients move forward in their financial peace journey using taxes, financial education and investing as the tools. 

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a dedicated self-starter with 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience to lead our tax team and develop financial plans for clients.  Working directly with clients while providing strategic consulting, responsibilities include: 

  • Lead tax engagements including complex tax planning, technical research and preparation of memorandums 

  • Prepare corporate, individual and trust & estate tax returns 

  • Support the investment advisory division 

  • Serve as technical expert on federal and state tax matters including entity planning issues, pension implementation and tax reduction strategies 

  • Remain abreast of legislative and regulatory tax developments and respond to government tax inquiries on behalf of clients 

  • Advise clients on how to reduce tax liability and establish compliance procedures 

  • Establish, cultivate and manage professional client relationships 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 

  • 5+ years of recent public accounting tax experience progressing in scope and responsibility 

  • CPA license 

  • Series 65 securities license (CFP licenses preferred but not required) 

  • Advanced knowledge of corporate income tax laws 

  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, leadership, project management, client service, negotiating and PC skills including MS Office and accounting software proficiency 

  • Ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies, juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and develop professional client relationships
