Financial Planning Administrative Assistant

 

Are you a bright professional with experience in the financial planning/investment field? Are you organized and able to work independently while functioning as a financial planning team’s primary support? Do you have exceptional attention to detail and an ability to complete error-free work? Are you computer and tech literate? Do you enjoy assisting clients in servicing accounts while providing exceptional service? If so, you may be the person we are looking for to work in our small, professional firm.

Qualifications

 

Must be personable, even keeled and passionately committed to serving and caring for other people. Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and operate successfully under deadlines. Must be able to follow directions while knowing when to take the ball and run with it.

 

  • 1-3 years experience in financial planning or investment field. College level courses in business/finance, bachelor’s degree preferred. Securities licenses (or willingness to obtain). Windows OS and software experience in Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Must be highly resourceful and able to navigate or learn our Client Relationship Management system, Morningstar®, other financial software, and our Community Link® for client servicing, regulatory requirements, training, and educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain client and business confidentiality with utmost care. Assist clients directly; handle customer service and client needs. Assist the planner in preparing for client meetings.  Gather and input client data to create client reports to analyze their financial situation. Follow up client meetings with database documentation, detailing future task items and manage client account opening and related documentation. Anticipate advisor’s needs and handle them proactively.  Make suggestions to systematize and improve office functioning. The assistant is the first point of contact in client service, follow up and problem solving.
