Job Details

Partner with Barnum’s Financial Planners to assist them through the financial planning process by identifying clients’ exposures and opportunities, understanding their goals and how they fit into their financial picture, and creating actionable recommendations. Actively act as a liaison between Financial Planners and the Product Specialist team to model strategies and present customized solutions for each client’s individualized needs. The Senior Wealth Strategist will engage in client facing engagements when called for.

 Duties and responsibilities  

  • Managing all responsibilities associated with the financial planning process.
  • Coordinate data analysis with the firm’s Financial Planners (FPs) to strategize and provide a clear, direct, and actionable proposal for clients. 
  • Utilize firm’s financial planning software to engage FPs and their clients in the planning process.
  • Educate clients on the importance of proper planning when in client meetings.
  • Prepare a final plan deliverable that outlines action items, rationale for proposals, and provides analysis to support the proposals.
  • Support Financial Planners in expanding their practice as well as identifying potential efficiency solutions.
  • Coordinate with the Product Specialist team on cases to tailor recommendations to each client’s specific needs. 
  • Utilize Salesforce database to aggregate case updates, meeting notes, and track case statuses.
  • Stay up to date on industry related information and strategies. 
  • Maintain active licensing, registrations, continuing education, and financial planning requirements.

Qualifications 

  • 3+ years experience in the financial planning industry
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7
  • FINRA Series 66 or 63 & 65
  • Investment Advisory Representative (IAR) registered 
  • Life and Health insurance license  
  • CFP® or other advanced financial planning designation preferred 
  • Proficient in financial planning software, eMoney preferred  
  • Ability to work independently while impacting team results  
  • Excellent communication and writing skills 
  • Highly organized to meet concurrent project deadlines 
  • Outstanding research skills 
  • Ability to assimilate new data quickly
