The Role

The Financial Planning Associate will work directly with the Lead Advisor to assist with the financial planning needs of clients and facilitate overall financial plan development. The ideal candidate is process-driven, puts the client first, takes ownership, and is always curious. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow long-term in a collaborative team environment, and who can thrive on change within a rapidly scaling organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with client onboarding, including input into financial planning software.
  • Creation and delivery of financial plans.
  • Manage pre-meeting and post-meeting tasks and workflows
  • Acknowledge/respond to all client communication within 24 hours business hours
  • Monitor client tasks and workflows to ensure tasks are completed
  • Demonstrate professional, ethical and courteous conduct in responsibilities and dealings with clients, prospects, COIs, colleagues and other businesses.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings for the firm.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as needed (this may include help with marketing, compliance, etc). We are a small firm, so everyone wears lots of hats.

Professional Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years in the financial services industry
  • CFP® certificant, or have passed the exam and are working towards the experience
  • Series 65 or ability to pass within 6 months
  • Experience with equity compensation and retirement income planning
  • Experience using the following or similar software: Wealthbox, RightCapital, Holistiplan
  • Located in the Seattle area, or from here originally (will consider remote work but strongly prefer candidates who can commit to some in-person hours each month)
