AltruVista is currently looking for a Wealth Advisor to join our team.

AltruVista, a Houston-based firm, uses our Wealth with Purpose® process to provide clarity, alignment, and peace of
mind to business owners and their families. We concentrate on the intersection of life and wealth planning for our business owner clients, providing a model that focuses on strategic wealth planning and advisor integration. Our planning team is currently looking for an experienced and motivated Wealth Advisor.

We look to the Wealth Advisor to maintain a pulse on everything that impacts our clients, manage existing client relationships, ensure the retention of clients and grow our client base by cultivating for referrals and opportunities. In addition, they will work to grow and develop planning team members. Specifically, you will be asked to do the following:


Client Relationship Management

  • Manage the relationship for low to medium complexity households from the beginning of the relationship and throughout the planning process, ensuring client retention and execution of ongoing activities
  • Collaborate with the Senior Advisor on, and facilitate the process for, our more complex household management and retention
  • Lead and facilitate client meetings to understand goals and objectives, present recommendations, address questions and concerns; understand when to bring in the Senior Advisor for more advanced collaboration and strategy
  • Serve as the primary contact to help clients navigate through the financial planning process
  • Generate referrals from existing clients
  • Create financial planning reports and deliverables
  • Deliver a superior client service experience for all clients
  • Participate in the planning and execution of client-related events; ensuring client attendance, relevant content and a good overall impression of the organization

Wealth Planning

  • Analyze client data to develop a comprehensive financial plan and make recommendations
  • Analyze, draft, edit and deliver comprehensive financial plans to clients; bringing in planning team members as necessary to grow team members and deliver an efficient experience to clients
  • Represent the investment strategy of the organization, with the ability to advise clients on key investment topics, and bring in the Senior Advisor / Investment Analyst, as necessary, for more complex clients and situations
  • Utilize, and contribute to, the Intellectual Property of the organization
  • Establish yourself, both internally and externally, as a knowledge expert within wealth management
  • Ensure clients’ portfolios adhere to their outlined plan
  • Manage action items of clients’ financial plans, assigning tasks to other team members both internally and externally to ensure all plan components are implemented

Strategic Alliance Development

  • Develop relationships with our strategic partners, proactively seeking touchpoints to effectively leverage partnerships to deepen and enrich the client experience
  • Seek referrals from our Strategic Alliance Partners
  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic alliance events and activities; with marketing support as needed

Administration

  • Ensure the CRM is updated with all client information, communications, and interactions

Infrastructure:

  • Manage the development and implementation of AltruVista’s summer planning internship program
  • Manage the development of AltruVista’s planning support team members, working with the Senior
  • Advisor to ensure that they are receiving and executing on the professional development that they need to grow and advance

Other:

  • Manage, or participate, in other projects as assigned
  • Recommend changes for, and lead projects aimed at, organizational and process improvement
  • Maintain an all hands-on-deck mentality to support the growth of the organization
  • Stay current on products, services and regulations that could impact our clients and take a leadership role in educating the team regarding such
  • Maintain CFP® certification


Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Knowledge of key financial, investment and risk management concepts
  • A passion to help clients achieve their goals, and a desire to strengthen alliance partnerships to facilitate this work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and relationship building skills
  • 6+ years of financial planning, family office and/or investment advisory experience
  • Registrations and credentials: CFP®
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in business, economics or financial planning
