Overview:

 

We are looking for someone who has a passion for helping people reach their financial goals.  You will be a part of an experienced team that prides themselves on designing and implementing effective retirement plans for our clients.  One area we will continue to focus on is financial planning to better prepare plan participants for retirement and many of their other objectives.  You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships and make a significant impact in many people’s lives.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinating, scheduling and presenting at education and trustee meetings
  • Develop and assemble 401k education meeting presentations with Powerpoint
  • Preparing paperwork for retirement plan reviews and plan conversions
  • Collaborate with team to maintain investments within a fund tracking system
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly monitoring reports to retirement plan sponsor clients
  • Answer retirement plan participant phone and email inquiries
  • Coordinate with plan record-keepers, third-party administrators and other vendors
  • Make investment suggestions to retirement plan participants based on knowledge of the individual client’s goals, objectives and financial standing.
  • Provide employee enrollment and education meetings 

Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:

Have an understanding of corporate retirement plans

Have an understanding of investments and financial planning

  • Series 65 or 66
  • Must be highly organized, able to multi-task, team-oriented
  • Effective written and oral communication skills (both internally and externally)
  • Professional Retirement Plan Designation such as Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) or Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) is preferred
  • Strong educational background or equivalent professional experience conducive to providing advice and educating/servicing retirement plan participants

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Previous experience providing retirement plan consulting in either a brokerage firm, investment advisory practice or other financial institution
  • CFP designation or willingness to obtain is strongly preferred
  • Complete competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Familiarity with Investment Policy Statements, Investment Review Checklists and basic aspects of ERISA a plus
  • Group presentation skills are a plus
  • Attention to detail and self-motivated
