Annex is a fee-only fiduciary firm. That means our employees are charged with always doing what’s right for the client.  There are no conflicts of interest in pressuring clients to buy commissionable investment or insurance products.  We are looking for articulate financial professionals that are interested in doing what’s right for the client without the pressure of selling products. 

Your Role

  • Help our wealth managers with certain subject matter areas within financial planning such as social security optimization, pension/lump sum analysis, tax planning, and more
  • Joining client meetings as an expert to communicate a complex financial planning strategy or analysis
  • Modeling advanced strategies in our financial planning software such as distribution strategies, Roth conversions, and more
  • Learning and mastering various FinTech software to provide technical support and training to our Wealth Managers
  • Answering technical planning questions with application to real-life client scenarios (for example: applying the Roth IRA 5-year rules, Solo 401(k) vs. SEP IRA, etc.)
  • You are NOT responsible for sales, network marketing or business development of any kind
  • You are NOT responsible for investment planning, trading, fund research or the like

What We Are Looking For

  • Hold CFP® certification or very close to completion (within 6 months)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • A genuine desire to continually learn, research and educate both clients and your colleagues
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in wealth management/financial services industry
  • Comfortable with learning financial planning software, researching new software and teaching others best practices
  • Excellent general computer skills such as using shortcuts, tab navigation, and general excel skills
  • A service-minded attitude, always willing to help
  • Tax background or interest in tax planning is a big plus but not necessary
  • Expertise in eMoney and Holistiplan is a plus but not required Excellent communication skills - both verbally and written
