Position Overview

The Client Service Manager will work primarily with the President as well as a team of financial professionals to provide exceptional wealth management services to a multigenerational family. In this client-facing role, the Client Service Manager serves as a relationship manager to clients and as an expert generalist that provides strategic and tactical wealth management services.

The Client Service Manager position offers a unique opportunity to be an integral member of a small, high-functioning team that values client service, excellence, and conscientiousness.

Performance Objectives

  1. Manage relationships with clients and proactively seek to resolve issues and concerns: Along with the Chief Operating Officer, the Client Service Manager serves as the day-to-day point of contact for KFP’s clients and their related trusts and entities on matters related to personal, family, financial, operational, and lifestyle decisions. The Client Service Manager, using a combination of internal and external resources, will coordinate the delivery of wealth management solutions that address each client’s specific goals and concerns. Within the first six months, the Client Service Manager should develop a working relationship with KFP’s clients, internal KFP personnel, and KFP’s external service providers.
  2. Deliver ongoing financial planning information and solutions: The Client Service Manager will consistently deliver financial information and ideas to clients, including personal budgeting and cash flow analysis, personal income tax analysis, entity and trust oversight, and insurance coverages. The Client Service Manager will participate in the estate planning process, including advising on existing structures and planning as well collaborating with internal personnel, legal counsel, and tax advisers to implement wealth transfer strategies, asset protection solutions, and philanthropic initiatives.
  3. Complete special projects that arise from client needs: The Client Service Manager will communicate regularly with clients to identify special projects that require KFP’s assistance. The Client Service Manager will work with the Chief Operating Officer to identify solutions for special projects and will complete the client deliverables in the form of a memorandum or presentation. Examples of special projects include assessment of different insurance solutions to meet client goals, evaluation of private aviation alternatives, review of the structures as well as benefits and risks of personal debt, identification of options to meet philanthropic goals, structuring asset purchases, identification of the optimal organization of entities to minimize risk, construction project oversight, and review of personal cybersecurity risks.
  4. Assist in the preparation, coordination, and presentation of information for quarterly client meetings: The Client Service Manager will facilitate quarterly client meetings by reviewing internally-prepared quarterly meeting materials including reporting related to investment performance, asset allocation, position of net worth, spending, and cash flow projections, coordinating separate client meetings, and presenting information and insights to clients. Within the first year, the Client Service Manager should identify additional reporting that provides a new perspective on the financial or human capital of KFP’s clients.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Financial planning, tax, and financial services industry knowledge is needed.
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of experience at a single- or multi-family office, wealth management firm or private bank is preferred.
  • A college degree is required.
  • A licensed Certified Financial Planner, Certified Financial Analyst or Certified Public Accountant is preferred. 
  • A commitment to client service, excellence, and hard work is essential.
