The Advisor Position
The financial advisor will be part of a team involved with all facets of servicing clients, including:
1) Participating in marketing meetings and conducting new client interviews
2) Drafting investment policy statements and investment proposals
3) Preparing financial plans
4) Gathering/analyzing data and preparing reports for client meetings
5) Advising on investment strategy
6) Providing guidance on tax and insurance matters
7) Following up on client needs and staying in touch with clients on an ongoing basis
8) Coordinating trading and client service requests with the PM and Ops teams
9) Participating in staff/investment committee meetings and taking on firm initiatives
The software that we use for these purposes includes Wealth Box (CRM), Orion (reporting), Eclipse (Trading), Y-Charts (research), Excel (financial modeling), Money Guide Pro (retirement planning) and Holistiplan (taxes). We also use the Schwab Institutional website.
Requirements
- Prefer Master’s degree and/or CFP or CFA designation
- 2-5 years of experience as an advisor or support advisor
- Strong analytical and computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized/good follow up
- Energetic/motivated/positive attitude
- Team player
- Community minded
