A phased approach – This Associate Advisor is expected to function as a Client Service Associate for a minimum of six months before advancing in the role.  The phased approach will ensure a mastery of the Client Service Associate role that will serve as a solid foundation for the Associate Advisor to build upon.

Phase 1 – Client Service Associate Functions:   The Client Service Associate will become a trusted resource to our advisors and clients.  He/She will develop operational and administrative skills to onboard new clients, open accounts, process asset transfers and cash movements and resolve operational problems while maintaining compliance standards.  Part of this time will be spent with Lead Advisor for intended advancement to Associate Advisor position.  Annual salary for this role is $65-75k. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Open accounts with coordination from advisors and clients on custodial platform Build and maintain professional relationships with clients by assisting them with account questions and/or filling out required forms to process various requests Collaborate with custodian to ensure requests are processed in an accurate and timely manner Account maintenance Ensure documentation is logged in CRM Support advisors with various requests Follow up on outstanding requests Other duties as assigned

Phase 2 – Associate Advisor Functions:  Upon mastering the role of a Client Service Associate, the new Associate Advisor will be responsible for supporting the Lead Advisor in providing superior service to our clients and will function as a quarterback to ensure all commitments are met. The Associate Advisor will manage, gather, and analyze client data and assist in the development of financial plans and other client deliverables.  Annual salary for this role is $95k-$110k. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Under the Lead Advisor, the Associate Advisor will control and prepare materials and agendas used for client meetings, including net worth statements, performance reports and cash flow summaries. Attend and actively participate in client meetings with Lead Advisor Present investment overview and economic reports in client meetings Follow up meetings by documenting in CRM, assigning tasks where appropriate Write summary letters that detail client meeting discussion and outline next steps in an action plan Maintain client relationships through follow-ups, check-in calls, etc. Coordinate insurance implementation with underwriting administrator and oversee process, updating clients where needed. May also assist in the preparation of applications Collaborate with Investment Analyst to ensure portfolios are aligned with objectives, and cash deposits are utilized. Maintain familiarity with managers and models used for client base, understanding how the economic outlook impacts the client’s financial plan Develop internal systems expertise to achieve maximum benefit for advisor and/or client use Perform other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the company Communicate professionally and succinctly with clients, management, peers, and representatives of other organizations. No cold calling or warm calling required

 

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or similar field preferred.  1-2 years’ experience in the financial services industry in a supporting role desired. Financial Planning and/or Estate Planning experience is a plus. FINRA licenses and CFP certifications preferred or required to obtain within 2 years. LPL’s ClientWorks experience is a plus.
