Job Title: Vice President, Financial Consulting

Locations:  Baltimore, MD

Who We Are:

Mutual of America Financial Group ("Mutual of America") has specialized in providing retirement plan products (401(K), 403(b) and 457(b) deferred compensation plans) to small and mid-sized corporations and non-profit organizations since 1945. The Vice President of Financial Planning will report to the Senior Vice President, Financial Planning.

Responsibilities:

The Vice President of Financial Planning will represent Mutual of America in a sales and marketing capacity. One will provide financial planning services to our largest client organizations. These services include one-on-one planning with Chief Professionals and Executive Directors. They’ll also provide financial planning seminars to the employees of client organizations.  

  • To provide investment guidance to Senior Executives about their retirement plan funds and personal saving vehicles
  • To provide comprehensive pre-retirement counseling to Senior Executives of our client organizations including reviewing distribution alternatives for individuals under their retirement programs
  • To provide generic investment guidance through seminar programs to the employees of our client organizations
  • To be a principal resource for Field Consultant and Home Office Marketing Operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three plus years of Financial Planning experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Public speaking
  • Highly motivated
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Strong relationship building and territory management skills
  • Active FINRA Series 6, 63 and SIE or must obtain within the first 180 days of employment
  • Active State Life and Health Insurance License (in all states covered) required or obtained within 180 days of employment
  • Valid driver’s license required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFP designation
