Role Summary

The Senior Financial Planner, known as the Private Client Group (PCG) Advisor at Savant, is an advanced level advisory role which is responsible for proactively formulating and implementing planning advice for high-net-worth clients. The PCG Advisor will be dedicated to a select group of clients. PCG advisors will be supported by the Private Client Groups technical specialists (PCG Planners), along with other technical specialists both within and outside of the company, as deemed necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for profitable delivery of our service models as defined in Savant Service and Segmentation Guidelines and according to the The Savant Way

  • Assume financial planning relationships with a number of existing high-net-worth clients.

    • Take lead on proactive planning opportunities and deliver to clients in unison with the clients lead and co-advisors

  • Help onboard new high-net-worth clients to ensure smooth transition

  • Participate in new client relationship development

    • Actively participate in planning meetings regarding new prospects (as appropriate) and new clients

    • Coordinate follow-up planning analyses

  • Maintain team approach by assisting and filling in for others.

  • Actively oversee entire the tax return preparation process for your assigned high-net-worth clients that are both wealth and tax prep clients

    • Review assigned tax returns and provide a high level of communication throughout the tax return process

    • Meet with clients to deliver tax returns, as appropriate

  • Supervise Private Client Group Planners

    • Conduct regular leadership meetings with team members

    • Develop quarterly OKRs in conjunction with PCG Planners and PCG Leader

    • Deliver annual performance reviews

Qualifications

The PCG Advisor position typically requires the following qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-12 years of experience in comprehensive financial planning with a demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex financial plans

  • Proven client-facing experience with high-net-worth clients that have complex planning needs

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university

  • Must be a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional in good standing

  • Minimum 2-3 years of personal tax return review preferred

  • CPA (ideal) or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred upon hire or attained EA credential within one year of date of hire

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as financial planning and tax preparation software

  • Financial planning/tax/wealth management acumen, judgment and experience

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Client first attitude

  • A team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
