PRIMARY FUNCTION 

The Family Wealth Management Intern will gain industry and organizational knowledge through project-based learning and business interactions. This role will provide exposure to financial planning in the multifamily office and wealth management business, products, services, and client’s needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mirror the day-to-day of client facing Relationship Managers and Family Wealth Analysts/Associates.
  • Observe the management and servicing of client accounts, including bill pay, CFO Services (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable), Estate Planning, Tax Preparation (Individual and Trusts), Insurance, etc.
  • Assist Family Wealth Analysts/Associates with daily preparation and review of client performance reports.
  • Perform annual review of accounts, IPS, and preparation of reports in Wealthscape & Tamarac CRM.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  

Bachelor’s student in finance program, preferably with a focus in financial planning or investments. 

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

None required.

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

Professional image, personable, articulate, and excellent communication skills. Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to learn. A general knowledge of the financial market and an interest in financial planning. Detail/deadline-oriented and ability to multi-task. Ability to work both as an individual and as a member of the team.
