WJ Interests is actively seeking a Wealth Manager for our practice. WJ is a growing fee-only, registered investment advisor in Sugar Land, Texas. We serve over 200 clients and specialize in comprehensive wealth management, including portfolio management. Clients come first at WJ, and the right person will help us meet this goal. Job Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for wealth management activities at the firm
- Development of financial plans for new clients and plan updates for existing clients in coordination with our Associate Financial Planner
- Present financial plans to clients and address their financial issues and questions
- Stay abreast of recent developments in financial planning, including legislative changes
- Proactively engage and advise clients on strategies that will improve the overall outcome of their financial well-being
- Work with clients and other staff to establish client accounts and coordinate asset transfers
- Respond to client inquiries and initiate client contact when appropriate
- Write regular articles on financial planning and wealth management for publication
- Get involved with the community and develop new business
We are looking for someone who has:
- The drive to provide the highest level of customer care and service Experience with MoneyGuide Pro and tax planning software Excellent communication skills including both verbal and written as well as the ability to effectively engage in conflict resolution and handling objections The ability to work with others to solve client problems Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree and CFP or CFA designation required
- At least 5 years’ experience developing financial plans and providing financial planning advice to clients
