Step into an instrumental role at a Private Wealth Management franchise of Ameriprise Financial. Assist financial advisor in the marketing and client service aspects of the practice with an emphasis on creating and delivering the unparalleled client experience that defines our practice.

This role requires exemplary business and professional ethics and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This is not a sales position.

Responsibilities may change over time to meet the needs of the practice and as professional growth and experience dictate.

Position functions:

  • Prepare client agendas and meeting materials in alignment with practice preferences for all client meetings
  • Follow-up from client meetings and business processing action items Track and maintain future assets, business opportunities and new prospective client pipeline
  • Maintain required minimum distribution process Responsible for follow-up with home office on business or compliance related issues
  • Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients if requested and as allowable as it relates to servicing their accounts and financial planning data
  • Responsible for documenting client contacts/calls Manage and resolve client service issues
  • Conduct trade completion and transaction request as directed by financial advisor and other staff
  • Track/hold clients accountable to agreed upon actions
  • Develop appropriate product deliverables
  • Work with home office to ensure accurate account setup and resolve issues
  • Assist in executing client trades and money movement transactions

  • Ability to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by the advisor, Ameriprise and regulatory bodies

  • Aptitude to identify and improve on areas of inefficiency
  • Highly capable problem solver/critical thinker
  • Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and grow
  • Ability to function in a team environment as well as alone
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Proficiency with Naviplan, Thompson One trading platform and other technology solutions in use at Ameriprise

Education and other designations:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 2 or more years of experience in a similar role
  • Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses highly preferred (or be willing to take and pass exams within 120 days of hire)
  • State Insurance Licenses (TX) (or be willing to take and pass exam within 90 days of hire)
