The Missouri State University Department of Finance, Economics and Risk Management anticipates an August 2024 opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Financial Planning. Candidates must have an earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Financial Planning from an AACSB International accredited university (ABDs with anticipated completion by August 2025 may be considered), the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, a demonstrated record of teaching excellence in financial planning at the university level, a demonstrated scholarly record, and a commitment to work with diverse student and community populations. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in financial planning delivered via traditional classroom and/or online; pursuing financial planning-related research leading to publication in refereed journals and paper presentations at professional meetings; and providing service to Missouri State University, the profession, and the community.
