Position Requirements
What characteristics would make you a successful Registered Branch Associate?
- Commitment to building meaningful connections and long-lasting relationships with clients with an understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to selling financial solutions
- Working independently with strong problem solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment to identify, analyze, and resolve multiple issues related to personalized investment solutions, involving the FA when appropriate

Key responsibilities with existing and newly created clients
Responsibilities at the direction of the FA for all existing clients may include:
- Gather information and collect suitability information to open new accounts
- Open and complete retirement rollovers
- Contact clients regarding Financial Advisor recommendations and asset allocation changes based on review
- Recommend margin loans for short-term cash needs, communicate longer term solutions
- Identify accounts out of alignment and create recommendations
- Review money dues for bonds/CDs with upcoming maturity dates and create recommendations
- Conduct liquidation conversations with clients
Responsibilities under the guidance of branch SOP for all existing clients include:
- Collect, analyze and review information regarding client income, assets, investments, and debts
- Determine which financial products best meet the customer’s needs and financial circumstances, and make recommendations to the Financial Advisor
- Research portfolio performance, cost/fees, asset allocation and changes to portfolio construction/investments, and make recommendations to Financial Advisor and communicating to client on behalf of Financial Advisor when in agreement with recommendation
- Generate proposals and construct portfolios using allocations based on client profile and goals, sharing with the Financial Advisor, and communicating to client on behalf of Financial Advisor when in agreement
- Execute Financial Advisor solicited buy/sell orders and confirm with clients
- Conduct client conversations when moving money creates conflict between account types
Responsibilities acted upon independently while informing FA for all existing clients and beneficiaries include:
- Conduct proactive reviews and collect suitability information for select accounts
- Answer general client questions regarding EDJ Stock recommendations and withdrawals
- Accept client directed buys/sells for all account types, unless outside the guidance of the FA
- Support branch business building through social media, marketing, and business planning
Job requirements
- High School Diploma/Equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Series 7 and Series 66 required; if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned study period.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in securities industry preferred
