ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

The Department of Accounting and Finance in the College of Business at the University of Wyoming invites applications for an Assistant Instructional Professor/Professor of Practice of Financial Planning beginning Fall 2024. We invite applicants with qualifications to teach and conduct research in the financial planning area.  

Successful candidates will be expected to be actively involved in our CFP Board-registered certificate/MS Finance program and publish peer-reviewed research in financial planning and closely related fields.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Ph.D. in Financial Planning in hand by start date of employment
  • Demonstrated potential for research publication to maintain a Scholarly Active (SA) status (average three peer-reviewed journal articles per five-year rolling period) for AACSB accreditation
  • Three or more years of university teaching experience or having completed a Ph.D. within the last three years

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching
  • CFP certification or being on the track of earning one
  • Commitment to departmental, college, university, and professional service
