Financial Planning Associate

Role Description

This is a full time on-site role for a Financial Planning Associate in Hackensack, NJ. The Financial Planning Associate will assist the senior planners with developing and implementing financial planning strategies for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, conducting research, and communicating with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn the investment strategy of the organization and implement investment recommendations
• Support the advisor through ongoing development of client relationships and review meetings
• Provide support in opening accounts, setting up investment portfolios, and handling rollover calls
• Help to ensure we have the necessary documents on file to complete client plans
• Perform ongoing financial planning analyses, including tax, cash flow, retirement, estate planning, and insurance
• Support the Senior Advisor and Lead planners in the day-to-day operations of the firm
• Enter client data into planning softwares
• Attend client meetings, take notes, and follow up with clients

Qualifications

• Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, and Estate Planning skills
• Strong analytical Skills in particular around financial data
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Ability to create and deliver engaging presentations
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is preferred
• Experience in financial services industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
