We are seeking a professional, highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to join a female-led boutique financial planning firm. This position is expected to nurture the existing relationships the firm has with its clients to continue building trusting, honest and real relationships that will hopefully last a lifetime.

At Nurtured Wealth, making our clients happy is truly at the heart of everything we do. We ensure this by taking a ‘person first’ approach and building real, strong and lasting relationships. The role of an associate advisor with Nurtured Wealth is to work with the founding advisor to honor these relationships by assisting with client service, education, account maintenance and be mentored in developing their own client group.

Duties:

  • Conduct client meetings reviewing portfolio performance, the current economic environment, client financial plans, etc.
  • Data gathering and analysis to develop financial planning recommendations
  • Actively work to service existing clients
  • Actively work to recruit new clients Prepare reporting, agenda and other materials for client meetings
  • Monitor and follow up on all action items from client meetings Prepare and complete new client account and transfer paperwork Respond to client inquiries or requests in a timely fashion

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years related experience; a financial advisor with an existing book of business is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Series 7 and 66 are required
  • CA insurance certification is preferred
  • Must be able to pass federal securities mandated credit and background checks
  • Licensed or enrolled in the Certified Financial Planner program is a plus
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients
  • Empathy and listening skills – by far the most critical skill for this role. It is the ability to understand the client’s emotions. Only then can this role truly understand the needs, wants and emotion of the client
  • Project management and collaboration– this role must be a self-starter, motivated to make a plan and follow through.
  • Flexibility and agility – client dynamics are ever-changing and require this role to be flexible and agile.
  • Organization skills are essential to this role
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking and excellent time management skills
  • Reliability and comfort with being a team player and doing whatever is needed
