Our private placement opportunities consist of relationship-based institutional vehicles and proprietary private offerings through Core’s affiliate Trojan Storage.

We are seeking a Certified Financial Planner™ to join our firm’s Wealth Management team. This role reports directly to the CEO and will lead all financial planning advisory services for our clients. The ideal candidate can draw upon experience to provide financial planning solutions to high-net-worth families, corporate executives, and business owners.

Both Full-Time and Part-Time positions are available. The position will be based in our El Segundo, CA office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service existing clients via financial planning, wealth management, and advisory services
  • Relationship management to retain high net worth and business owner clients
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Investment Team regarding investment strategy and client portfolio structure
  • Discuss estate planning and work with internal and external resources to meet estate planning goals of the client
  • Client meeting planning, facilitation, and presentation
  • New business development is not required but can serve as an opportunity if capacity and interest exist

Key Skills:

  • Experience with pensions and 401k plans required
  • Experience with life insurance products required
  • Experience with captives and private investments desired
  • Familiarity with financial planning software, such as Orion Advisor or similar solutions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify difficult financial concepts for a non-financial audience
  • Strong work ethic, exceptional integrity, and highly professional
  • Compliance with all industry rules, regulations, and firm policies

Required Experience/Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline; master’s degree preferred
  • 8+ years in experience as a financial planner/advisor at an RIA or similar organization with direct experience planning and interfacing with high net worth private clients
  • Series 65 or 66 certification
  • Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation
  • Immaculate U-4/U-5
