Principal responsibilities
- Provide service to the current clients as per the instructions provided. Delegate follow-up client work to other members of the firm. Meet with clients to go through paperwork; ensure that all required forms are completed accurately. Generate reports, such as position statements, for meetings with clients. Draft letters as necessary. Assist with workflow needs in office:
Maintain updated client contact records using CRM software. Follow up on outstanding transactions (e.g., transfers). Maintain up-to-date and organized client files, including copies of all signed applications and forms, according to compliance requirements. Prepare and send outgoing mail. Maintain appropriate turnaround time on incoming items (e.g., 24 hours for checks).
Required knowledge/skills/competencies
- CFP (or studying for CFP exam) FINRA registrations 6 or 7 will be a plus Proficiency with computer programs, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) Excellent people skills, including:
Active listening Effective communication Professional, knowledgeable demeanor
- Ability to establish rapport with clients and coworkers Sophisticated organizational skills with both physical resources (e.g., files, manuals, papers) and nonphysical resources (e.g., calendars, appointments, events, client contact records, images) Attention to detail
- Ability to: Proofread and quality check own work in accordance with firm/Commonwealth criteria Proactively relate internal concerns to the management Identify and solve problems in a timely, efficient, and effective manner Use resources available to answer questions and resolve problems (e.g., COMMunity Link, Operations Manual, office procedures, etc.) Use multiple technology platforms (e.g., CRM system and Wealthscape℠, etc.) Prioritize workload and meet deadlines Work independently
