Job Description:

The Job/What You'll Do:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Wealth Management Solutions ("WMS") team to help research, assess, and lead in the creation of new services, products, and capabilities for our financial advisors and users.

This critical product development function role drives research, design, and implementation of new AssetMark services and offerings. Vetting solutions that enable advisors to deliver more personalized solutions to their clients are an area of particular focus within this role.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to any of our offices locations in either Concord, CA, Phoenix, AZ, or Encino, CA.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with leaders across AssetMark to help define and execute upon the next generation of wealth management services and capabilities
  • Lead research, planning, development activities that help drive the assessment of new and enhanced platform offerings including UMA, Rep As Strategist, Rep As PM, Tax Management Services, Direct Indexing, Unified Managed Household, Annuities, Alternative Investments or Guaranteed Income Solutions and more
  • Ownership of the complete product life-cycle with a keen focus on the overall advisor and client experience
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Marketing, Technology, Legal & Compliance) to support new service by developing detailed requirements, analyzing results and synthesizing learnings
  • Serve as subject matter expert and product liaison for new WMS offerings and assist with the transition of support activities once product is in steady state
  • Engage key stakeholders, users, and interested parties to solicit and capture their perspectives and feedback on product opportunities and related concerns
  • Responsible for competitive benchmarking AssetMark wealth offerings and maintaining a contemporary view of the overall landscape in which we compete
  • Manage relationships with key business partners and negotiate pricing with 3rd party firms
  • Support sales, marketing and product education efforts


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Deep understanding of wealth advisory segments, technology, and competitors
  • Familiarity with portfolio management, wealth advisory, and/or financial planning is essential
  • Proven ability to think creatively and strategically as it relates to investment product and service management in order to assess and meet client needs and profitability goals
  • Proven ability to deliver mid- to large-scale projects that meet pre-defined success objectives.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to comprehend and communicate complex issues to internal departments and external stakeholders
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and perform analysis to inform decision-making
  • A Self-Starter/Team Player Attitude: You are excited by a fast-paced environment and the accountability that comes with owning important products and projects
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in an evolving role within a growing organization
  • Ability to multi-task, change direction and prioritize is a must


Education & Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in product development or management within the Financial Services or FinTech industries; knowledge of the advisory industry, financial products and tax transition services.
  • A bachelor's degree is required; progress toward MBA, CFA, CFP or CPA is a plus


Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $130,000-$150,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
