Job Summary
The tax and financial associate is a multifaceted role, designed for someone who is looking to learn and grow in their career. Their responsibilities include preparing client reports, evaluating investments and portfolio performance, researching tax and financial planning opportunities, and assisting in the tax preparation process. The tax and financial associate reports to the firm’s owner and principal, Brenda Friedlander.
Key Accountabilities
In this role, the tax and financial planning associate will:
- Evaluate portfolio performance, monitor implemented strategies for achieving client goals, and seek tax and financial planning opportunities for all clients through Asset Allocation Reviews and Client Updates
- Prepare and review quarterly investment reports
- Research, evaluate, and recommend investment funds
- Assist in the tax preparation and planning process
- Monitor completion of annual and semi-annual client reviews
- Provide outstanding client service and support
- Prepare investment and tax-related client correspondence
- Communicate with investment fund companies to receive fund updates and market commentary
Qualifications

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willing to adapt and learn new software and applications
- Team-oriented and comfortable wearing multiple hats
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work independently and utilize problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
Education, Experience, Licenses, and Designations
- Bachelor's degree
- Three to five years of financial services and/or tax preparation experience desired
- CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, Certified Public Accountant, and/or Enrolled Agent designations (or progress in earning designations) desired
