We are located in the highly desirable area of Bellingham, WA and have approximately $300 million in AUM. We currently have a B/D relationship but will soon be fee-only. We are growing and seek a senior financial advisor to join our collaborative team.
Financial Advisor Position Summary
The Senior Financial Advisor has experience and skills to act as a primary advisor to clients. This includes investments, advice, planning, and industry knowledge. They are looking for a fresh start and opportunity to work with our existing clients and prospects, but also to generate new client relationships through marketing and business development, and/or potentially transitioning your current clients to Skyline Advisors.

Role
-The Senior Financial Advisor has technical analytical skills with real life planning experience to help our clients grow generously
-Works with clients to assess their financial situation, identify their financial goals, and develop a customized financial plan
-Monitor and review clients' financial plans regularly, making adjustments to ensure they stay on track to achieve their goals
-Can perform retirement and tax planning, legacy/charitable planning, risk management, and estate planning
-Knows investment principles, types of investments, portfolio management, financial theories, and implementation thereof
-Has good knowledge of behavioral finance issues and how to coach a client
-Stays updated on the latest trends and developments in the financial industry and incorporate them into your/our advice and practice
-Build and maintain strong relationships with clients that build trust
-Attracts new qualified prospective clients through networking in the community and marketing efforts
-Collaborate with other financial professionals, such as accountants and attorneys, to provide financial solutions for clients
-Learn and grow within our community, our profession, our team, and cultivate a passion to learn how to better serve our clients
-Execute trades such as rebalancing and tax loss harvesting.
-Proficient with Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM. We use Orion Advisor Services, Redtail, Moneyguidepro, Holistiplan, Sharepoint, and other vendor applications.
-Knowledge of service and operational duties that build a more comprehensive knowledge of the total client experience
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
-4+ years of experience as a personal financial advisor/planner
-Degree in Business -Finance/Accounting/Economics preferred
-Series 65 license required within first 4 months of employment
-Certified Financial Planner™ or in progress. Other qualifications may be considered such as ChFC®, CPA, or CFA.

Base compensation of $100,000-$150,000 DOE. Potential revenue participation. Compensation is determined by several factors such as experience, licenses/certifications, industry knowledge, and the ability to bring clients with you subject to contractual release. We are part of Broker Protocol.
