The M+ Financial Planning Associate position offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the M+ Advisor team to provide financial planning advice and analysis to our ultra-high-net-worth clients. This challenging role enables the Financial Planning Associate to provide in-depth insight into the nuances of wealth planning and the innovative planning tools and resources that advisors utilize to deliver holistic advice to clients. As a Financial Associate, you will leverage your CFP or CPWA designation and relevant industry experience and expertise to assist advisors and their clients clarify their long-term objectives and taking the steps necessary to reach their goals.

Duties + Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding client’s financial strategies, acting as a trusted advocate in areas such as investments, tax strategies, and debt management

  • 5+ years of experience in an administrative support role Evaluate client’s financial documents, including their income, expenses, and liabilities Prepare detailed personal financial statements based on information received Analyzing Clients’ current tax situation, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective tax strategies Create strategic financial strategies and budgets for clients Deliver exemplary service and financial guidance to clients, including recommendations for financial, insurance, investment planning, and proposed financial strategies Monitor clients' needs and adjust their financial strategies accordingly Prepare financial and business analysis reports Develop, present, and market financial strategies and services Work closely with other solutions specialists to incorporate sophisticated solutions into the client’s financial picture Find potential clients and foster long-lasting relationships Ensure you stay updated on the latest regulations, practices, and financial products Take a holistic approach to serving higher-income and net-worth clients

Qualifications + Requirements

Successful candidates will be able to incorporate superior time management skills, financial planning acumen, and strong communication skills to support the firm’s clients in addressing a spectrum of financial and investment needs:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Aptitude to analyze large amounts of financial data and comply with regulations
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Current holder of the CFP and/or CPWA designations
