Position Title: Investment Operations Manager
Status: Exempt, Full-time, Regular, “At-will” Work Status

Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000

 

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Investment Operations Manager, you will play a key role in investment operations by ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of account opening, money movements, investment transactions and compliance procedures. You will work closely with advisors, the Investment Committee, and other team members to facilitate the investment process, manage and develop workflows, and accurately maintain client and transaction records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment operations, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Oversee the implementation, reporting, and daily management of the firm's back-office operations, financial processes, client reporting systems, and client service.

· Facilitate the opening, tracking, and funding of new investment accounts.

· Update appropriate systems with all client communication, activities, and other relevant data.

· Support Chief Compliance Officer with day-to-day compliance monitoring and policy implementation.

· Complete and/or delegate client requests with the utmost attention to detail in facilitating white-glove level service.

· Assist clients with day-to-day money movement needs.

· Assist in management of the firm's technology infrastructure and coordinate with third-party service providers such as custodians and technology solutions vendors.

· Provide general support to advisors in implementing client financial and investment plans.

· Participate in the selection of new team members.

· Other duties and tasks, as assigned periodically.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Daily desk work and computer work.

· May be required to travel to other facilities.

 

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

· Four to seven years of operational experience specific to financial planning and investment operations.

· Bachelor's Degree required: Finance or Business preferred.

· Strong general technology knowledge.

· Experience with custodian account opening and maintenance platforms such as Schwab Advisor Center or NetX360.

· Knowledge of necessary financial principles involved in most/all account types, applicable requirements, and basic investment concepts.

· Extensive knowledge of CRM software and its applications, Salesforce preferred.

· Experience with portfolio accounting software, Orion preferred.

· Familiar with billing and reporting concepts such as blended fee schedules, householding, and transaction types.

· Familiarity with financial planning and account aggregation software, eMoney preferred.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet protocols.

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
