The Job/What You'll Do:

The Vice President of Advisor Journey Marketing is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that attract, nurture and grow advisors to grow AssetMarks presence. This leadership role involves overseeing a team, managing marketing programs, and ensuring all advisor marketing efforts align with AssetMark's strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the financial services industry and a proven track record in marketing leadership.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our Concord, CA office.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership
  • Develop and implement the overall advisor marketing strategy, aligning with AssetMark's mission, goals, and brand values
  • Lead and manage the advisor marketing team, providing direction, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales, communication, and the events team to ensure alignment and integration of advisor marketing efforts


Advisor Marketing Programs
  • Design and oversee marketing programs that attract, retain, and engage advisors
  • Develop and deliver educational content, tools, and resources that enhance the advisor experience
  • Create advisor journeys around 4 key segments—new/NPA, existing business, disengaged, and Morningstar advisors
  • Lead the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital, email, social media, and events
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns, making data-driven adjustments to improve performance
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the success of programs and campaigns
  • Build and maintain relationships with advisors, understanding their business goals and pain points
  • Gather and utilize feedback from advisors to refine marketing strategies and programs
  • Develop an integrated plan for attracting new advisors, work with sales to qualify leads and ensure high quality, and develop a lifecycle plan to keep them engaged and supported


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing technologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with Salesforce and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot)
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or related field
  • Strong knowledge of different marketing technologies (Eloqua, HubSpot, Salesforce, etc)
  • Ability to work strategically and tactically
  • Results-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Works collaboratively and well in team settings
  • Adept at managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting tools


Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing with at least 5 years in leadership role, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Expertise in financial products and services preferred
  • Experience in digital marketing, content marketing, and brand management preferred


Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $150,000-$225,000.

This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for a comprehensive sales incentive package and competitive benefits.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US to be considered. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
