JSF Financial is seeking candidates for a full-time Financial Planning Associate (paraplanner) to support 2-3 Senior Financial Advisors. This role's primary responsibility is to provide technical support to by preparing for client presentations and ongoing client maintenance. The position requires employee to perform analysis of information received, generate initial modeling and scenarios, proofread and compile client presentations, create charts and graphs. The candidate will also coordinate and manage client the ongoing support and needs of clients and Senior Advisors. Additionally, the Paraplanner is a client resource is available to answer questions and concerns on behalf of the Advisor.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work directly with Advisors prior to client meetings to finalize meeting prep and research client service or planning issues
- Input data into financial planning software, including constructing and updating financial planning analyses, and identifying issues and opportunities for discussion with Financial Planners and Advisors.
- Areas of emphasis include financial goals and retirement needs analysis, Social Security and Medicare planning, education planning, tax projections, charitable planning, insurance planning needs, executive compensation and stock option analysis, estate planning, and cash flow analysis.
- Research ad-hoc financial planning questions.
- Meeting preparation and follow-up client services including working directly with team members and clients to gather all required data, prepare analyses, and follow up on delivery of analyses to clients.
- Work directly with Advisors post-review meeting to implement any action items and follow up research and/or communication regarding post meeting action steps
- Compile, enter, and monitor CRM workflows related to client financial planning requests.
- Communicate and work collaboratively with Financial Planners and Advisors throughout the planning process to ensure that financial planning analyses are completed accurately and promptly.
- Communicate directly with clients via phone and/or email.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 3 to 5 years of RIA, paraplanner and/or financial planning experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and client relationship management (Salesforce, Redtail CRM) software.
- Proficiency with financial planning topics (Social Security, estate planning, tax projections)
- Experience with Financial Planning Software is a plus (eMoney, MoneyGuide Pro)
- Professional, personable, tactful, efficient, and self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills and sense of teamwork valued.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking, accuracy, service-minded, and meticulous adherence to details required.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
