Are you looking to grow with an established wealth advisory practice? As a Paraplanner joining our team, you'll work with Financial Advisors in delivering an exceptional client experience.

Hudson Peak Wealth Advisors (HPWA) is a private wealth advisory practice that offers financial advice and planning services tailored to our clients’ lives and goals. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial plan development – from data collection, input and analysis, to running scenarios, preparing charts, writing recommendations and finalizing a tailored and robust financial plan.
  • Put together meeting preparation information for the Financial Advisor.
  • Attend client meetings, take notes, document action items, and efficiently collaborate with the team on tasks. Prepare and manage processing for the client visit and finalize post-meeting client deliverables.
  • Manage daily ad hoc client calls, requests and questions.
  • If licensed, complete client trades accurately and efficiently and handle security transactions and insurance processing.
  • Provide support for special projects as needed.

Key traits and skills:

  • Strong Financial Planner, with an ability to understand client needs and translate them into financial solutions.
  • Self-starter able to solve problems independently without major supervision, which relies on ability to organize and prioritize, and to maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, a positive attitude and good communication skills (both internally and with clients). Our culture favors people with a do-what-needs-doing orientation and openness to learning and development.
  • Demonstrated high standards of integrity and business / professional ethics and client-interest first approach.
  • Knowledge of and willingness to adhere to all compliance rules and regulations as required by Advisor, Ameriprise Financial and FINRA.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with financial planning software (NaviPlan, Money Guide Pro) and Customer Relationship Management software (Salesforce) preferred.

Education and Other Designations:

  • College degree or higher
  • CFP® designation
  • 4+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Desirable to have or be able to pass exams for Series 7 and 66 licenses and state insurance registrations.

Salary and Benefits: Base salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $75,000-$100,000; benefits include discretionary bonuses, employer profit sharing and health insurance.

Schedule: Hybrid work environment, with in-office days at our Pleasantville, NY offices.
